Holly volunteers when she can at Lewisham Foodbank, where Project Twist-It talked to her about the joy of stacking shelves – and the power of corrugated card.

I find that the most moving and shocking, and also the most inspiring part of this job is that you just get to meet a ton of people from a ton of different situations that could easily happen to you.

“We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.”
